You might be surprised to hear, but there are over 20 different types of women's underwear. So how do you navigate all the options when you want to buy?
We've prepared a little guide for you to familiarize yourself with the most popular cuts:
Thong
The pair of underwear that covers the least consists of a strip of fabric at the back and allows you to wear tight clothes without them being seen.
There are claims that walking with it on is less healthy for the vulva because the movements can transfer bacteria, but most opinions and studies indicate that if the size is good and it's not too tight - it's completely safe.
Hipster
Typically sits at the waistline, slightly below the navel, with a low leg cut and greater coverage at the back and in the hip area, and wide at the sides.
In Boishvarts
The female version of boxer briefs, relatively rectangular in shape, looks like a combination of underwear and briefs. It provides more leg coverage than other styles. It is mainly suitable for wearing under looser clothing and skirts.
Brief
If you're looking for more maximum coverage than boyshorts, briefs are your solution.
It has ample coverage in the front and back, and comes in several variations in waistline and leg opening. Although its shape is visible under clothing, many women go with this cut because it is comfortable, and no less flattering!
An excellent shape for pregnant and postpartum women in general, and especially after a cesarean section.
bikini
More triangular in the back, a thin stripe on the sides and sits relatively low compared to other cuts. The bikini usually has a higher leg opening and less coverage in the buttocks area compared to briefs. This is one of the more popular styles.
Our bikini cut is relatively high and some pregnant and postpartum women prefer it because it sits below the belly and even covers the cesarean scar.
