How do our menstrual panties work?

  1. Top layer – blood passes through this layer within seconds, ensuring that the outer layer remains dry and soft in contact with the skin.
  2. Smart Absorption Layer – The smart layer allows the underwear to breathe by absorbing and trapping blood, thus preventing leaks.
  3. The insulation layer – a layer that prevents liquids, moisture, and odors from leaking out.

Micro model - how to make it

Step 1

Raw material: beech wood

It all starts with nature – the trees from which the fiber is extracted are beech trees that grow naturally and without the need for additional irrigation. These trees serve as the raw material for the environmentally friendly production process.

Step 2

Crushing into chips

After controlled felling, the trees are shredded into small chips. The chips serve as the basic material for the rest of the process, in which fine fibers are extracted from them.

Step 3

Turning the chips into pulp and fibers

The chips are processed into pulp, from which the natural fibers of the micro model are extracted. This is a key step in the process of transforming the wood into a soft and flexible material suitable for textiles.

Step 4

Spinning into yarns

The fibers undergo a spinning process, where they are woven into strong, smooth, and pleasant-to-the-touch threads. These threads are the basis for the micro-modal fabric, which is known for its exceptional softness.

Step 5

Dyeing and weaving

Finally, the threads are dyed with delicate, durable colors, then woven into a high-quality fabric. The resulting fabric is soft, breathable, and extremely pleasant to the touch – making it a perfect material for lingerie.

How many menstrual panties will I need?

Period panties are a comfortable, healthy and environmentally friendly solution for your period. Lilybloom panties are made of soft and breathable micro-modal fabric, and are combined with smart absorption technology, which ensures high absorption and moisture evaporation. To be comfortable throughout your cycle, it is recommended to keep 3–5 pairs – this way you can change comfortably and wash at a time that suits you, without stress.

How often will I need to buy new menstrual underwear?

Our menstrual underwear is designed to be reusable and can last between six and two months, depending on how often you use it and how you wash it. To maintain the fabric and absorbency over time, it's important to follow our washing instructions.

How do I choose the absorption level that suits me?

To choose the appropriate absorbency level, it is worth adjusting it to the intensity of the flow at each stage of the cycle. In the first days, when the flow is usually stronger, it is recommended to use underwear with high absorption. On the remaining days, when the flow is weaker, you can also choose medium absorption. Some choose to combine several absorption levels throughout the cycle, depending on their personal needs. Do you have any more thoughts? Read here .

How do menstrual underwear work?

Period underwear works by using absorbent layers of fabric, which are built into the underwear itself. The top layer quickly transfers fluids inside, and the inner layers absorb and maintain a feeling of dryness. The outer fabric, made of soft and breathable micro-modal, allows ventilation and pleasant contact with the skin – which is especially important for use during menstruation. All Lilybloom models are suitable for reuse, providing a sense of security without the need for pads or tampons.

How do you wash menstrual underwear?

After each use, wash the underwear in cold water. Then, it is recommended to wash it in a gentle cycle at a temperature of up to 30 degrees, without fabric softener. When finished, hang to dry in a shady place - it is best to avoid using a dryer to preserve the fabric and absorbency over time.

Why do I have light spots on my underwear?

The stains you see are not caused by bleach but by the natural pH of your discharge. The acidity of discharge can cause the color in the fabric to fade slightly over time, which is completely natural and does not affect the absorbency of the underwear. To keep them in good condition, it is recommended to wash them immediately after use in cold water and wash according to the instructions.
